Common Surgical Conditions We Support

Medical Conditions
Gallbladder Stones

Gallbladder Stones (Cholelithiasis)

Symptoms: Upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion after meals.

Treatment:
- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy – A minimally invasive surgery to remove the gallbladder. This is the standard of care for symptomatic gallstones and gallbladder inflammation.

Appendicitis

Appendicitis

Symptoms: Right lower abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting.

Treatment:
- Laparoscopic Appendectomy – Removal of the inflamed appendix using small keyhole incisions. It offers faster recovery and minimal complications.

Hernias

Inguinal & Ventral Hernias

Symptoms: Swelling or bulge in the groin/abdomen, discomfort on exertion.

Treatment:
- Laparoscopic Hernia Repair (TEP/TAPP) – Mesh-based repair of hernia through small incisions, reducing recurrence and downtime.

GERD/Hiatal Hernia

GERD / Hiatal Hernia

Symptoms: Chronic heartburn, acid reflux, regurgitation, chest discomfort.

Treatment:
- Laparoscopic Fundoplication – Surgical tightening of the lower esophageal sphincter to prevent reflux.
- Hiatal Hernia Repair – If a hernia is contributing to reflux, it is repaired laparoscopically.

Colorectal Conditions

Colorectal Conditions (Cancer, Polyps, IBD)

Symptoms: Altered bowel habits, rectal bleeding, unexplained weight loss, abdominal pain.

Treatment:
- Laparoscopic Colectomy / Proctectomy – Removal of part or all of the colon or rectum affected by cancer or severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
- Polypectomy – Removal of precancerous growths via colonoscopy.

Liver, Pancreatic & Biliary Surgery

Liver, Pancreatic & Biliary Surgery

Conditions: Liver cysts, tumors, pancreatic pseudocysts, bile duct obstruction.

Treatment:
- Hepatectomy – Surgical removal of part of the liver.
- Whipple Procedure – A complex operation for pancreatic or bile duct cancer.
- Laparoscopic Cyst Drainage – For non-cancerous liver or pancreatic fluid collections.

Bariatric Surgery

Bariatric Surgery (Obesity Treatment)

Ideal for: Patients with BMI ≥ 35 or BMI ≥ 30 with comorbidities (e.g., diabetes, sleep apnea).

Treatment Options:
- Sleeve Gastrectomy – Removes 75-80% of the stomach to reduce appetite and promote weight loss.
- Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass – Bypasses part of the stomach and small intestine to limit calorie absorption.
- Mini Gastric Bypass (MGB) – A simpler alternative to traditional bypass with effective weight-loss outcomes.
