Who we are

MedRide Medical Center is operated by MedRide, Unit of Loka Health, Suryaprabha, B31, TV Nagar, Thirumala Post, Thiruvananthapuram 695006. MedRide is a Loka initiative and works in association with Loka Medicity and Neyyar Medicity. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, MedRide, Unit of Loka Health is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website and at the centre.

What we collect

Through the website and WhatsApp: your name and mobile number when you request an appointment or home visit; the service you are asking about and your area; and technical information your browser sends if analytics are enabled. We do not use this to identify you.

At the centre or during a home visit: registration details; clinical information needed for your care — history, findings, results, imaging, prescriptions and care plans; and billing records. We do not store card numbers.

Please do not send medical history, results or insurance details through the website form. Bring these to your consultation.

Why we use it

To provide consultation, diagnostics, pharmacy, day care and home care — necessary to deliver the service you requested
To arrange referral, admission or transport to Loka Medicity or Neyyar Medicity with your records — your request and consent at the time
To send reports to your WhatsApp — your consent, given when you share your number for that purpose
To send confirmations, refill reminders and follow-up calls — your consent, which you may withdraw
To notify you about health camps, packages or offers — your separate consent, never assumed from a clinical visit
To keep records required by law

Who we share it with

Loka Medicity and Neyyar Medicity when you are referred or admitted, so your treating team has your history
Laboratory and radiology reporting panels within the Loka group
Service providers acting on our instructions — messaging and hosting — bound to use data only for that purpose
Regulators, courts or authorities where the law requires

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Clinical records are retained for the period required by applicable medical record-keeping norms. Website enquiry data that does not lead to registration is deleted within [12] months. Marketing consent records are kept while consent is active.

Your rights

Ask what personal data we hold and receive a summary
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to erase data no longer needed, subject to record-keeping law
Withdraw consent for reminders, WhatsApp reports or marketing at any time
Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf
Raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India

Children

Where a patient is under 18, we collect data with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, and do not use it for tracking or targeted advertising.

Security and cookies

Clinical data is held in the group hospital information system with access limited to staff involved in your care. Website enquiries go to us via WhatsApp and are not stored on the web server. This site uses browser storage only to remember your language choice. We will notify you and the Data Protection Board of a personal data breach as the law requires.
